About Us

The Tuning-Shop Ltd was established in 2008 in Cornwall, as a small family run business specialising in automotive interior products. We have initially run our company from our residential home, over time the business has evolved to a dedicated production site in St Day, Redruth. Originally we started as a reseller of car interior products, such as gear/handbrake gaiters, seat belt pads, armrest covers and gear knobs made from natural leather, alcantara, suede and other materials.

That’s when the business was born. In 2008, Grzegorz founded The Tuning-Shop Ltd. What started as a small project in Grzegorz's house, soon became a thriving success.

We have completed over 1,000 individually commissioned projects. We have invested in the new machines and technology, to be able to meet the requirements of the growing customer base.

In order to move the business forward and to be able to meet customer expectations,

we needed to start manufacturing these products ourselves. This led to the decision to invest in our business with a range of the industrial sewing machines, embroidery machines and 3D printers. In 2020 we have also acquired a CNC cutter for leather made by Swiss Zund. The machine was supplied with latest nesting software, that optimises usage of leather and other cutting materials while maintaining high speed cut and efficiency. It's also equipped with a separate capture table, that allows the designs to be vectorized on site, and programmed into the machine software, to be ready for cutting. Thanks to that tool, we can also make any changes to existing patterns.

This allowed us to extend our range of products and offer bespoke, customised products and one-off projects too. We offer upholstery service for cars, vans, and boats. We also cooperate with leading local furniture store and make a custom furniture pieces, wall panels and headboards, banister covers and so on.
